URinspiration 2023
April 5, 2023, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm | Abstracts due March 17, 10:00 pm
Join us at the 2023 URinspiration Conference, where you can share the results of your undergraduate research with your fellow students and with faculty researchers from Arizona, New Mexico and Florida. URinspiration is a FREE virtual conference with workshops offered in both English and Spanish.
You can participate in URinspiration in several ways:
- You can present your research in either Spanish or English, and receive reviewer feedback from University faculty and staff in the same language. Each student presentation will be limited to ten minutes, and will be assigned to a 50-minute presentation block with three other presenters. You may choose to present from a research poster, from presentation slides (such as PowerPoint or Google Slides), from other sources (for instance, video, artwork, technical drawing, etc), or you may opt to present only orally with no visual aids. To submit your abstract for consideration, click the “Register Free Today” button. After you register, click the “Call For Abstracts” link in the menu at the top of the page. If you have any questions about your abstract submission, please contact Allen Varela at alvarel@fiu.edu or Tim Schroeder at timschroeder@unm.edu.
- You may also attend URinspiration to attend other student presentations, without presenting your own research. This is a great option if you would like to learn more about varying research methods and approaches, would like to explore academic disciplines outside your own, or would like to see how other students present their research effectively.
If you are planning to present at UNM’s Undergraduate Research Opportunities Conference (UROC), you may also want to present at URinspiration. This will give you the opportunity to practice and refine your research presentation even further, and/or to deliver or practice your presentation in Spanish.
The URinspiration Conference will be held Tuesday, April 5, and is open to students from Florida International University, the University of Arizona and the University of New Mexico, as well as to university students in Argentina. URinspiration is free, and registration is easy. The number of available presentation spots is limited, so register early to secure your place. There is no limit to the number of students who will be attending but not presenting.
URinspiration is co-sponsored by Florida International University, the University of Arizona and the University of New Mexico.
Space is limited, so register early to secure your place.
