ePortfolios

Empowering Creativity, Celebrating Achievement

An ePortfolio is a digital collection of your ideas, values, experiences, and scholarly work.Through your ePortfolio, you can tell the story of YOU, including your world-view, your personal interests and a self-assessment of your professional strengths.  ePortfolios can be useful in communicating this information informally to future employers, graduate schools or peers.

ePortfolios also provide you a valuable opportunity to reflect upon what you have learned up to this point, and to organize this into a cohesive body of knowledge that you can more easily build upon.  ePortfolios should be updated frequently to stay up-to-date as your academic and professional lives evolve.

If you would like to create your own powerful ePortfolio, we would like help!

The first step in this process is to begin writing and collecting. This guide will walk you through this process.

The second step is to solicit feedback, learn about the various ePortfolio platforms, and begin creating.  To help in this respect, URAD and our partners hosts bi-weekly group-based consultation sessions via zoom. The schedule for these sessions is below.  You are welcome to come to as many or as few sessions as you like, and no advance registration is required.  Session days and times are staggered to fit varying student schedules.

During these sessions, you will share your thoughts and writings with peers and advisors, who will provide you guidance and feedback on what to create next.  The more often you return to these sessions, the more we can help you refine your ePortfolio.

The third step is to share your ePortfolios with others.  You can do this through your own professional and personal networks, and/or we can post your ePortfolio on the UNM URAD Expo website.
