How to Find, Choose, and Work with a Faculty MentorĀ
This peer-to-peer workshop will guide you through the dynamics of faculty mentorship, from establishing a rapport to working together beyond the classroom. You will learn how to identify a good faculty fit, how to initiate that first conversation, how to make the most of mentorship, and why faculty mentorship is crucial to your success as an undergraduate researcher. You will leave the workshop with 1) actionable steps to establish and/or solidify mentorship, 2) the confidence to pitch your interests and pursue collaboration, and 3) networking tips for building partnerships that can help you make the most out of your undergraduate research experience.
